Fostering Research and Public Discourse

"These worlds usually do not meet. The Russian speakers are starting to understand that they are important for Israeli democracy, and the sabras are stunned when they meet members of this newfangled aliyah. An elite of that sort usually does not emigrate. What's needed is to make lemonade out of these lemons."

Vicki Idzinski, founder and CEO of Israel Shelanu, in an interview with Haaretz

We support research and dialogue on the social, political, and cultural dimensions of immigration in Israel, encouraging evidence-based discussions and collaboration across academic, civic, and community spaces.

Our work includes supporting studies on the recent waves of immigration and their integration into Israeli society, as well as fostering dialogue about these processes in civil society organizations and public forums.

We partner with leading institutions such as the Israel Democracy Institute, the AccoRD Institute, and Hadassah Academic College, contributing to research that examines the changing identity and civic participation of Russian-speaking Israelis and other immigrant communities.

In addition to supporting research, we help translate its findings into public understanding — through lectures (such as the Shatil lecture - Practicum on Working with Russian-Speaking Audiences), articles, and opinion pieces published by members of our team and collaborators.

This combination of academic rigor and civic dialogue strengthens informed policymaking, enriches Israel’s public debate on immigration and diversity, and builds a more inclusive understanding of what a shared society means today.
